Who I am
Hi! I'm Andrea de Palo, a 39 years old man living near Milan, Italy. I am interested in Information Technology (got a Computer Science degree) and everything involving learning new things. I like to read, to travel and to take photos.
I am currently working as Senior Principal Consultant DB & Platform @Oracle Italia. Previously I worked as Oracle DBA @Intesa San Paolo and as consultant @NTT Data on the (now defunct) VTPie project.
Other past activities include writing for a couple of blogs (OSSblog.it and oneOpenSource, both defunct now) and for the italian computer magazine WinMagazine. I also worked as sysdamin/web-developer @Si.net Informatica and, as my CS thesis, I designed/developed DigiDISCo, a web-application for the Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca.
